G Series

The G series is our version of the traditional 8-string bouzouki. We gave it the name "Gazouki" because it's built like a guitar but tuned and played like a bouzouki. The shape was developed after Dermot's mentor, Mickey Uchida, told him that a natural pear shape should be the beginning of any instruments design but then moulded out to suit both the instrument and player. Dermot decided to keep the pear shape unaltered.

Scale length is 648mm.

Nut width is 34mm but 32mm-38mm is possible on request.

Gotoh SG381 tuners

Bindings and inlays are selected for the individual instrument and will vary between models. All guitars have solid wood rosettes with Paua Abalone inlay. All fingerboards are solid Ebony and trimmed with solid wood binding. Highly figured woods are not used for bindings on cutaway models. Nut and saddle material is Bone.

Machine heads are Gotoh SG381 on standard range and Gotoh 510s on premium and master range models. Case is not supplied with this instrument.
